Nathan Naidoo has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the insurance and logistics industries. Nathan started their career as an Actuarial Analyst Programmer at Fedsure Life in 1990 and worked there until 1998. Nathan then joined Liberty Life as an Actuarial Systems Analyst in 1999, where they analyzed actuarial requirements and coached their team. In 2007, they briefly worked as an Actuarial Systems Analyst on contract at Discovery Life, where they analyzed data requirements and communicated progress to management. In the same year, they started their own business, Nathan Gray Logistics, where they engaged with customers, formulated procedures, and handled new ventures. Nathan returned to Liberty Life in 2009 as an Actuarial Systems Consultant, where they analyzed source systems, developed ETL code, and created standardized views of finance and risk data. Nathan is currently the Head of Data Management Team, responsible for taking ownership of the Data Management function and leading the team's growth and maturity.
Nathan Naidoo has a partially completed first-year electrical engineering degree from the University of Durban Westville, which they attended until 1989. Prior to that, they completed their secondary education at Lenerea Secondary in 1987.
In terms of additional certifications, Nathan obtained various LinkedIn certifications in different areas of expertise. In February 2020, they obtained certifications in "Balancing Multiple Roles as a Leader," "Managing High Potentials," "Microservices Foundations," "Own Your Voice: Improve Presentations and Executive Presence," and "Transitioning from Technical Professional to Manager." In April 2018, they obtained a certification in "Computer Science Principles: The Internet," while in February 2018, they obtained certifications in "Learning Data Analytics" and "Data Science and Analytics Career Paths and Certifications: First Steps." In January 2018, Nathan obtained certifications in "Lean Six Sigma Foundations" and "Learning Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack." Additionally, they have indicated an interest in various other areas of certification, including agile requirements, agile software development, artificial intelligence, assessing digital maturity, big data foundations, boosting team productivity, cloud architecture (advanced concepts, core concepts, design decisions), and communication foundations.
