Bruce L. Levy

Trustee at Liberty Science Center

Mr. Levy has worked in the power and energy infrastructure industry for more than 35 years. In his current position, Levy is responsible for the growth and operations of BMR Energy to develop, acquire, invest in, and manage energy infrastructure assets in the Caribbean, Latin America, and Mexico. BMR recently completed the construction of a 36 megawatt wind power generation project in Jamaica. Prior to BMR Energy, he was CEO of International Power plc’s North American IPP business, responsible for more than 7,000 megawatts of oil, gas, coal, wind, and solar power generation throughout the region.

Prior to IP he served as CFO of GPU, Inc., an electric utility company serving more than 2 million customers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Before becoming CFO, Levy served as president and CEO of GPU International, the nonregulated subsidiary which developed, acquired, and operated generation and utility systems throughout the US, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Levy has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from City College of New York, an MBA in finance from New York University, and is a licensed professional engineer.
