Michelle Urberg, PhD, MSLIS has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Michelle is currently working as a Client Success Manager at LibLynx, where they focus on identity, access, and analytics for online resources.

Prior to their current role, Michelle was an Independent Consultant at Data Solve LLC, specializing in improving operational workflows for publishers, content providers, and education-adjacent organizations. Michelle also worked as an Affiliate Senior Associate at Maverick Publishing Specialists, where they excelled in content and workflow improvements, market research, and SEO enhancement.

Michelle's previous experience includes working as a SaaS Implementation Project Manager II at EBSCO Information Services and as a Metadata Librarian at ProQuest. Michelle Urberg, PhD, MSLIS has an extensive education history in the field of music and library sciences. Michelle began their academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Music, Religion, and Norwegian from Concordia College, graduating in 2005. Michelle then went on to pursue their passion for music by enrolling in the University of Chicago, where they obtained their M.A. and PhD degrees in Music History, completing their studies in 2016.

In addition to their music-focused education, Michelle decided to expand their knowledge and skills in library and information science. From 2014 to 2016, they attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they earned a Master of Science in Library and Information Science (MSLIS).

Michelle's commitment to professional growth and development is evident through the various certifications they have obtained. In 2021, they completed the Digital Asset Management (DAM) certification program at Rutgers University School of Communication and Information. Michelle also earned certifications in XML and RDF-Based Systems from Library Juice Academy, as well as a Digital Archives Specialist Certificate from the Society of American Archivists in 2021. Furthermore, in 2020, they completed Knowledge Engineering Training, Semantic Integration Training, and Semantic Web Training at the Semantic Web Company (SWC).
