Stephanie Cerceo Page has a wealth of experience in research. Stephanie began their career in 2001 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Penn State University, where they identified and molecularly characterized a previously unknown gene regulated by exposure to alcohol. In 2003, they moved to the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where they served as a Graduate Research Assistant and studied the spatial and temporal restriction of protein synthesis following induction of long-term potentiation in rodent hippocampus. Stephanie also worked as a Laboratory Research Technician, examining transcriptional variations in BDNF mRNA using qRT-PCR. In 2013, they joined the Lieber Institute for Brain Development as a Staff Scientist, and later became the Staff Scientist II and Director of Imaging Core.

Stephanie Cerceo Page obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology and Vertebrate Physiology from Penn State University between 1999 and 2003. Stephanie then went on to receive a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience from the University of Maryland Baltimore in 2012.
