Thomas Hyde

Thomas Hyde has held a variety of roles in the medical and research fields. Thomas began their career in 1996 as a Special Volunteer Scientist at the National Institutes of Health and a Staff Scientist at the National Institute of Mental Health. In 2010, they became the Chief Medical Officer at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development, where they oversaw clinical research programs and was also the Chief Operating Officer and Research Scientist. In 2013, they were appointed Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Neurology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Thomas Hyde attended Magruder SHS before going on to the University of Pennsylvania, where they earned a BA in Biology in 1978. Thomas then went on to the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where they earned an M.D., Ph.D. in General Medicine and Anatom in 1984.
