Kiara Chan

Kiara Chan, Ph.D., is currently serving as a Biomechanical Engineer at Life Fitness since July 2023. Prior to this role, Kiara was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Indiana University Bloomington from August 2022 to July 2023 and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida from August 2017 to August 2022, where the dissertation focused on quantifying movement patterns in preclinical osteoarthritis models. Additional experience includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Cornell University and undertaking research internships at Phosphorex and Ocular Therapeutix, Inc. Kiara holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering, along with a minor in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University. Early education was completed at Franklin High School.
