Eric Theriault

Eric Theriault has a diverse background in software engineering and leadership roles. Eric currently works as a Principal Software Engineer at Life Time Inc., where they are responsible for implementing app architecture, automated testing, programming patterns, and performance optimization. Additionally, they designed and led a retraining program for employees to become junior mobile developers. Prior to this, Eric held the position of Senior Manager - Mobile at Life Time Inc., where they built two development teams from scratch and provided guidance on software architecture and development practices. Eric also fostered a culture of transparency, collaboration, improvement, and experimentation. Eric has also worked as an iOS Engineer at Walmart Global Tech, a Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS) at Spok, and a Director of Technology and Strategy at Kidizen. In addition, they held roles as a Software Development Consultant at Slalom, an Associate Technical Director and Technical Architect at Periscope, and the President and Lead Software Developer at Metal Sidecar, LLC. Eric's experience also includes working as an iOS Developer at Target, an Interactive Developer at The Nerdery, and an Adjunct Professor at Macalester College. Throughout their career, Eric has demonstrated strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for mentoring and training others.

Eric Theriault earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Physics from Vassar College in 2006. Eric then pursued further education at the University of Minnesota, where they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from 2006 to 2011. Eric's academic journey continued at the University of Minnesota, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from 2006 to 2012. In 2014, they also obtained a certification in Analytics from Google Partners.
