Spiritual Care Director at Lifeline Connections

Lisa Barrett-Kelly has a diverse work experience, starting in 1991 as a Spiritual Director and School Leader at the University of the Nations. Lisa later became a Field Trainer at the same institution. In 2003, they joined the United Nations as a Research Associate, where they conducted research on topics such as human trafficking, HIV/AIDS, and female genital mutilation. Lisa traveled extensively and met with various stakeholders to gather information for lobbyists and help shape international policy. After leaving the United Nations in 2010, Lisa co-founded the Women & Children's Advocacy Center, where they served as the Field Liaison Director. From 2009 to 2013, they also founded and served as the Executive Director of the Better Life Association of Comprehensive Development - USA (BLACDUSA), focusing on comprehensive development initiatives. In 2013, Lisa became a Spiritual Director at the Faith Community. Lisa continued to hold various community roles, such as Community Events Coordinator in Portland from 2014 to 2017 and at TaborSpace from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, Lisa started their own business as a Certified Life Coach and Spiritual Director at Mindful Life Coaching, LLC. Lisa also served as the Spiritual Care Director at Lifeline Connections. Currently, Lisa is working as a Chaplain Resident and Interfaith Chaplain at Providence Portland Medical Center, starting in 2021.

Lisa Barrett-Kelly attended George Fox University from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Spiritual Direction. In addition to their degree, Lisa has acquired several certifications including Coaching from the International Coach Federation in 2018, MBSR Certification from Oregon Health and Science University in 2015, and they are an Ordained Officient, allowing their to facilitate weddings and funerals through the Universal Life Church. Lisa is also a Reiki Master certified by REIKI.
