Nichole Salaam has extensive experience in equity, engagement, and leadership roles. Nichole is currently serving as the Director of Equity and Engagement at LifeSource. Prior to their current position, they worked as the Director of Equity and Engagement at the Project for Pride in Living (PPL), where they led strategic areas of neighborhood engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Nichole also managed the Emerging Leaders program at PPL.

Before their role at PPL, Nichole served as the President & CEO of LNC Strategic Designs, where they provided organizational vision and leadership and guided the development of strategic and operational direction. Nichole partnered with organizations to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion through training and development.

Nichole also has experience working for Hennepin County as a Training Consultant, designing and facilitating workshops on leadership and intercultural conflict. Nichole served as an advisor for professional development and teaching methodologies.

In addition, Nichole worked at Teach For America as the Director of Program Design, leading training and development initiatives with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Nichole designed and managed professional development content and mentored and coached staff members.

Nichole has also served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Bethel University, where they designed and taught courses in leadership development, talent management, and diversity and inclusion. Nichole advised students and attended faculty meetings and conferences.

Earlier in their career, Nichole worked as a Volunteer Manager at Jeremiah Program, Director of Volunteer Services at Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly, and Volunteer Coordinator at Chrysalis, A center for women. Nichole managed volunteer programs, conducted staff training, and supervised interns.

Furthermore, Nichole worked as a Consultant at the Minnesota Minority Education Partnership, where they designed and facilitated training sessions on culturally responsive tools and collaborated with schools to increase equity-based training modules.

Nichole Salaam has a diverse education history. Nichole earned their Master of Science in Education (MS) degree with a specialization in Instructional Design for Online Learning from Capella University in the years 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Certificate in Postsecondary Teaching from Bethel University, where they also completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Organizational Leadership from 2009 to 2012.
