Aki Shinagawa has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies.

Starting in 2000, they worked as a Multimedia Content Developer and Content Producer for Atom Entertainment (Shockwave.com), where they mediated between the US entity and the Japanese affiliate.

From 2005 to 2008, Aki worked as a UI Designer and Flash Engineer at Simple Star, Inc. (acquired by Roxio), where they implemented UI design and multimedia content for application software localization and customization. They also managed localization for PhotoShow.

In 2008, Aki joined Sonic Solutions as a Flash Engineer, developing new contents and features for Flash-based slide show playback and authoring tools in PhotoShow.com. They collaborated with a team in fast-paced Agile/Scrum development.

From 2011 to 2013, Aki worked as a Flash Engineer for iWin, Inc., developing TV Game Show-style social games on Facebook. They also experienced the use of Adobe Air technology with Stage3D on mobile devices.

In 2013, Aki became a Software Engineer at Konami Digital Entertainment, where they developed and released the mobile game "Swords and Poker Adventures" for iOS. They also developed the Facebook social game "MLB Dream Nine" and collaborated with backend developers and product managers in a rapid Agile development style.

Joining Vungle in 2015, Aki initially worked as an Integration Engineer, proactively managing multiple issues for clients' SDK integration. They also supported departments company-wide and prepared technical documents and tutorials. In 2016, they became a Senior Integration Engineer, providing technical feedback to the product and SDK team and supporting Japanese clients.

In 2018, Aki transitioned to the role of Senior Mobile Engineer I - iOS at Vungle, contributing to the development of new features in the iOS SDK and working on Android and Windows development through plugins and adapters.

Currently, in 2021, Aki is Senior Mobile Engineer II - iOS at Liftoff Mobile. They designed and rewrote the entire SDK with pure Swift, contributing to the architecture and design patterns for improved performance and a simpler code base.

Aki Shinagawa's education history begins in 1995 when they attended City College of San Francisco. Aki obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies in 1997. Afterwards, in 1998, they enrolled at San Francisco State University and successfully completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies in the year 2000. A significant gap in their education is observed until 2016, when they attended CodePath for a course in iOS for Engineers. Lastly, in 2019, Aki pursued a Nano Degree in C++ through Udacity, focusing on computer programming.
