Prior to this, they were the Information Security GRC Manager at Snapdocs, where they worked on disrupting the real estate closing process through digital technology and AI. Michelle also worked as a Global Cyber Security Third Party Risk Manager at American Express Global Business Travel, ensuring data shared with third parties was properly safeguarded. Michelle was the Senior Manager of Information Security Risk & Compliance at InVision, where they led a customer-facing GRC team. Before that, they were the Director of Vendor Risk & Compliance at ACA Compliance Group, where they grew the vendor risk and compliance product offering. Michelle also worked at Amazon as a Program Manager of Information Security Risk & Compliance, focusing on securing customer data. Prior to their roles in the GRC field, Michelle held multiple GRC and privacy roles in the banking and finance industries.

Michelle K. pursued their education at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree. Michelle'sfield of study was focused on Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. In addition to their formal education, Michelle also obtained certifications in Managing Virtual Teams from LinkedIn in November 2019 and GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC) from GIAC in 2009.
