Tero Ahonen

Tero Ahonen has extensive work experience in the technology industry. From 2001 to 2005, they worked as a Software Developer and later as a Java Development Manager at NSD Consulting Ltd. Tero then joined Cybercom NSD Oy as Director from 2010 to 2011. Tero also worked as a Director and Advisory Consultant at Cybercom Group : Cybercom Finland from 2011 to 2016. Tero was responsible for Open Source Business Solutions and Meaning Based Solutions during their tenure there. In 2015, Tero became the Chief Architect at GameRefinery Ltd. Tero joined Red Hat in 2016, where they held the positions of Senior Specialist Solution Architect and later Principal Specialist Solution Architect until 2021. Tero is currently working as a Senior Staff Engineer II, Production Engineering at Liftoff Mobile.

Tero Ahonen has a strong educational background in computer science and business administration. Tero obtained their Bachelor of Science in Business and Administration, with a focus on Computer Science, from Savonia University of Applied Sciences from 1997 to 2001. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Eastern Finland from 2002 to 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Tero Ahonen has also obtained several certifications. Tero became a Sun Programmer for Java 2 Platform in July 2001 and a Sun Certified Web Component Developer for Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition in September 2002, both from Sun Microsystems. In July 2004, they received the BEA 8.1 Certified Administrator: System Administrator certification from BEA Systems. Tero also obtained the Certified Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance in April 2008 and the Red Hat Certified JBoss Administration (RHCJA) certification from Red Hat in March 2014.
