Glen Aitken

Glen Aitken, P.Eng., is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the engineering and heavy lifting industries. As Co-Founder and board member of LiftOff since June 2024, Glen leads initiatives in major component exchanges for offshore wind turbines. Previously, as President and Co-Founder of LiftWerx since February 2016, Glen specializes in alternative lifting solutions for the wind energy sector. Glen's prior role as Director & Executive Vice-President of Solutions & Innovations at Mammoet spanned from 1993 to January 2016, where responsibilities included overseeing R&D and delivering innovative solutions in heavy lifting and transportation. Additional leadership roles at Mammoet included Sr. Vice-President with P&L responsibility and Vice-President of Sales, where Glen secured significant growth and major orders. Glen holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and completed the SHV LeaD Programme at Nyenrode Business University.
