Michael Castro

Michael Castro has a diverse work experience in accounting and finance. Michael started their career in 2011 as an Accountant at Russell Bedford International, where they worked for a year. In 2016, they joined GGI | Geneva Group International as a Financial Auditor, responsible for evaluating financial statements, assessing accounts for accuracy and compliance, and investigating internal systems and operations. After their stint at GGI, Michael worked as a Senior Accounting & Financial Analyst at Cardno from 2017 to 2018. During this time, they gained experience in preparing financial transactions, examining bank statements, and reconciling them with general ledger entries. In 2019, Michael joined Tata Consultancy Services as an Accounting & Financial Analyst. Here, they were involved in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closings, tax computation, tax planning, and preparing monthly cash flows. Michael currently holds the position of Senior Accountant at LIFULL Connect, starting in May 2022.

Michael Castro has a diverse education history focused on accounting, auditing, taxes, and computer software technology. In 2005, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Universidad Nacional Experimental Politécnica de la Fuerza Armada. In 2010, they completed their degree as an Accountant Technician from Centro Tecnico Contable.

Throughout their career, Michael pursued various certifications and courses related to their field. Michael attended CEATE in 2011 to study International Auditing Standards and returned to CEATE in 2013 to delve into International Financial Report Standards and Inflation adjustment. In the same year, they also studied Tax reconciliation, 12 keys to successfully declare ISLR, and withholding tax at CCPEA. Furthermore, they completed a course on Inflation adjustment at PWC.

In 2014, Michael enrolled at CEATE again, this time to specialize in Internal Audit and International Financial Report Standards. Michael also trained in Microsoft Excel at ACIMSA and underwent an Internal Audit program at PWC. Additionally, they studied Computer Software Technology/Technician with a focus on Microsoft Excel.

Aside from their educational pursuits, Michael has obtained certifications such as English B2 Upper Intermediate from the British Council. Michael is also a Certified Public Accountant, certified by Colegio de Contadores Públicos de Pichincha, and holds a Certificate of Professional Competence from Colegio de Contadores Públicos de Aragua.

In 2017, Michael attended EF International Language Campuses to further enhance their English language skills, particularly in English communication. Michael also pursued a course on Phrasal verbs at Udemi.
