Diego Gavilanes ⚡️

Diego Gavilanes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Diego is currently working at Light-it as the Head of QA and has been in this position since September 2022. Prior to that, they were a Lead Software Quality Engineer and Project Manager at the same company, starting in May 2021.

Before joining Light-it, Diego worked at Beloved Robot as a Software QA Manager and Project Manager from May 2019 to September 2021. Diego also held the role of Software QA Tester at the same company from November 2019 to September 2021.

Diego has also worked at Abstracta Academy as an Instructor from August 2020 to May 2021. In this role, they were responsible for leading the development and instruction of the "Mobile apps' Performance with Apptim Desktop" course in Spanish. Diego also served as a reviewer for the "Exploratory Testing" course in English.

Prior to their time at Abstracta Academy, Diego worked as a Software Quality Engineer at Abstracta Inc. from October 2018 to May 2021.

Before these experiences, Diego held various roles at Garino Servicios Informáticos, including Software Tester from April 2017 to October 2018, Implementation Analyst from September 2016 to April 2017, and Help Desk Support Technician & Developer from December 2012 to September 2016.

Diego's career started at AMC Systems Engineering as an IT Technician from February 2012 to November 2012.

Diego Gavilanes has a diverse education history mainly focused on the field of information technology. Diego obtained a degree in Tecnología de la información as a Tester Profesional de Software from Centro de Ensayos de Software (CES) in 2018. Prior to that, in 2017, they acquired a degree in Tecnología de la información as a Tester de Software from the same institution.

Diego also holds a Bachelor's degree in Informática, specializing in Ciencias de la computación, which they attained from Instituto Tecnológico Superior “Arias Balparda” between 2008 and 2011.

In terms of language skills, Diego completed the First Certificate In English program at Language House in 2011. Additionally, they pursued a basic course in the German language called Idioma Alemán Básico at Centro de Lenguas Extranjeras from 2005 to 2007.

Furthermore, Diego has actively pursued additional certifications to supplement their education. Diego obtained the Agilidad y Scrum, edición 20 años del manifiesto ágil certification from 233 Grados de TI in February 2021. In the same month, they also completed a SQL certification from SoloLearn. In June 2020, they acquired the Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate from CertiProf. In May 2020, Diego received a Java Programming certification from TestAutomationU. Prior to that, in November 2019, they obtained a Scrum Master certification from Peregrinus. Lastly, they completed the First Certificate In English from the University of Cambridge in February 2012, indicating their proficiency in the English language.
