Barrie Dickinson has a long and successful career in vehicle engineering. Barrie began their career in 1990 as a Project Engineer at Jaguar Land Rover. Barrie then moved to Group Lotus in 1997, where they held the roles of Chief Engineer - Body & Trim and Executive Engineer, Exterior Trim. In 2002, they became Director, Chief Consultant at Sygnet Designs Ltd. Barrie then joined Tesla Motors in 2004, where they held the roles of Director, Vehicle Programs and Director, Body Engineering. In 2010, they became VP Vehicle Integration at Wrightspeed Inc. Their role included vehicle adaptation and packaging, as well as mechanical engineering design and direction. In 2012, they moved to Advanced Transit Dynamics, Inc. as Director, New Product Initiatives, and to GoPro as Director, Program Management and Senior Program Manager. In 2018, they joined BYTON as Senior Manager, Vehicle Line Management and Zoox as Director, Vehicle Program, Vehicle Program Engineering Manager, and Senior Manager, Closures Engineering. Barrie is currently Head of Vehicle Engineering at Lightship since 2022.
Barrie Dickinson attended the University of Hull from 1986 to 1990, earning a BEng in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing.
