Academic Director: Business Of Cannabis at LIM College

Michael Zaytsev is an experienced professional with a diverse background. Michael currently serves as the Academic Director for the Business of Cannabis at LIM College, where they have developed and launched the first accredited Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in the field in New York State. In this role, they are responsible for program leadership, strategic planning, instructional design, assessment, faculty management, and building partnerships with industry stakeholders. Michael is also a best-selling author, having published "The Cannabis Business Book" in 2020, which provides a comprehensive guide for those interested in the industry. Prior to their work at LIM College, they founded High NY, one of the largest Cannabis Meetup groups globally, and also operated as a business and personal life coach for entrepreneurs in various sectors, including tech, finance, and cannabis. Additionally, Michael has experience as a Professor of Cannabis at Medgar Evers College, where they taught the first-ever CUNY minor degree program in Cannabis. Earlier in their career, they worked in sales roles at Google and as an Analyst at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.

Michael Zaytsev began their education at Stuyvesant High School, where they completed their high school degree from 2003 to 2007. Michael then attended Claremont McKenna College from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a bachelor's degree in Economics and Film Studies. In 2020 and 2021, they pursued an Executive MBA at the Quantic School of Business and Technology. Currently, they are attending City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College, where they are working towards a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Organizational Leadership, starting in 2023 and ending in 2026. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as Associate Certified Coach, Certified Master Coach, and Professional Certified Coach.
