Prof. Thomas Brandstetter

Prof. Thomas Brandstetter is a distinguished expert in IT/OT security with extensive experience spanning various roles in academia and industry. As the Managing Director and Principal IT/OT Security Specialist at Limes Security since January 2013, Brandstetter co-founded the company and leads as a chief security scientist. Brandstetter serves on the Review Board for Black Hat and holds the position of Honorary Professor in Cyber Security at De Montfort University. In addition, Brandstetter is a Professor at FH St. Pölten, teaching in Bachelor's and Master's degree programs related to IT Security. Prior experience includes significant leadership roles at Siemens, including heading the Siemens ProductCERT group, and instructing courses at the SANS Institute. Brandstetter's academic credentials include an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Augsburg, along with a Diploma with honors in IT Security from the University of Applied Sciences, Hagenberg.
