Paul James is an experienced legal professional with a diverse background in public and private sector law. Currently serving as Deputy City Attorney for the City of San Diego since May 2020, Paul also holds attorney positions at SKANE WILCOX LLP and Lincoln Gustafson & Cercos, alongside being a partner at Kimball, Tirey & St. John since February 2018. Paul began their career as an associate at Jackson & Wallace, LLP from December 2003 to March 2005. Paul earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law (1999-2002) and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Santa Cruz (1990-1994).
