Matt Gamboa-Lutz

Matt Gamboa-Lutz is a dedicated legal professional currently serving as an Assistant Attorney General with the Texas Attorney General since September 2023. Previously, Matt held the role of Clinic Chief at the SMU Small Business & Trademark Clinic, where responsibilities included preparing legal documents and advising students. Experience also encompasses positions as a Law Clerk at Song Whiddon and the Texas Attorney General, where legal research and drafting motions were key duties. With a strong foundation in land use and zoning law from his externship at the Dallas City Attorney's Office, Matt's background also includes project coordination at T-DYNE CONTRACTORS, skills in bilingual communication, and comprehensive educational support roles within the TRIO Upward Bound Program. Matt earned a Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from Cornell University.
