Prash Karnik

Prash Karnik has extensive experience in the maritime industry. Prash started their career in 1988 with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, where they served as a Captain and then as a Staff Captain. During this time, they were responsible for safety, security, maintenance, and facility management. Karnik also worked as a Chief Officer/Safety Officer during this period. In 1996, they transitioned to the hotel industry, where they served as a Staff Captain and was responsible for various aspects of ship operations, including navigation, maintenance, safety, finance, customer relations, and environmental management. In 2005, Karnik joined Holland America Line as a Deputy Director of Nautical Operations, where they provided corporate support and oversaw day-to-day operations. Prash then joined Seabourn Cruise Line in 2011, first as a Deputy Director of Nautical Operations and later as the Director of Marine Operations. Karnik also had a brief stint as an Independent Maritime Consultant before joining Lindblad Expeditions in 2018, where they currently serve as the Port Captain and Director of Nautical and Port Operations.
