Jongho Shin has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Jongho started their career as an intern at Samsung Electronics in 2004 and then served in the US Army as a Sergeant. After completing their military service, they worked as an intern at NAVER Corp and Infosys. In 2009, they joined the Ministry of National Defense, Republic of Korea as a Senior Security Researcher, where they worked until 2013. Jongho co-founded CANDY HOUSE Inc. in 2014 and served as its CTO. In 2015, they returned to the Ministry of National Defense as a Senior Security Researcher. From 2017 to 2019, Jongho worked at SAMSUNG SDS as a Senior Security Consultant. Currently, they are employed as the Security R&D team Lead at LINE Plus Corp, where they manage and leads the security research and development team, focusing on enhancing security measures through innovative approaches, particularly in the intersection of security and machine learning.

Jongho Shin holds a B.S in Computer Science, Economics, and Psychology from Seoul National University, where they studied from 2002 to 2009. Jongho later pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and completed it between 2013 and 2015. Additionally, they have acquired various certifications over the years, including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2019 and a Specialist for information security from the Korea Internet & Security Agency in 2004. Furthermore, they obtained certifications such as the Certificate of SW professional from SAMSUNG SDS and an Artificial Intelligence nanodegree from Udacity, both in 2017. In the future, Jongho plans to participate in the SNU-LINE Global Future Leaders Program at Seoul National University, expecting to obtain it in 2023.
