Brian Leist

Brian Leist has a diverse work experience in the fields of science education and research. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a High School Science and Math Teacher at Walden School in Louisville, KY, where they taught various subjects including physics, astronomy, and calculus. Prior to that, they were a Researcher at the University of Louisville from 2013 to 2017, where they developed computational tools and created catalogs of galaxies for research purposes. Brian also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, assisting in the instruction and grading of undergraduate Astronomy courses. In addition, they worked as an Educator at the Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium, conducting presentations and leading educational programs for students of all ages. Most recently, they joined LineVision as an R&D Scientist in 2019.

Brian Leist earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Louisville, where they studied from 2007 to 2015. Brian continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Physics and Astronomy from 2015 to 2017.
