B.eng Sam Cain

Sales Application Engineer at Link Engineering Company

Sam Cain, B.Eng, has a diverse range of work experience. Starting in 2011, Sam worked as a Farm Hand at Barkhouse Farms Inc., managing lawn care operations, preparing fields for harvesting, and supporting pig farm equipment installation.

In 2018, Sam worked as an Engineering Co-op Student at Materials Joining Innovation Centre (MaJIC), where they supported testing operations and made improvements to increase work efficiency. They also created a work procedure for bit-testing rig verification and developed CNC programs for component fabrication.

Sam also worked as a Teaching Assistant for Engineering Mechanics: Statics at Saint Mary's University, grading assignments and providing guidance to students.

From 2019 to 2019, Sam was a Midstream Operations Engineering Student at Imperial Oil, coordinating operations projects and implementing change management initiatives.

In 2020, Sam worked as a Project Engineering Co-op at Ontario Power Generation, providing project readiness and execution support for various scopes.

Currently, Sam is a Sales Application Engineer at Link Engineering Company, supporting the sales process by providing technical and product support, developing proposals for custom testing system solutions, and generating quotes and technical specifications for standardized and custom products for international sales teams and customers.

Sam Cain earned a Diploma in Engineering from Saint Mary's University from 2016 to 2018. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering at Dalhousie University from 2018 to 2022.
