Doug Bulmer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Doug started their career in the US Navy as an Aviation Electronics technician from March 1982 to July 1989. Following their military service, they worked as a Design Engineer at Electro-Tech, Inc. from April 1990 to January 2012. Doug then joined Dynamic Testing and Equipment, LLC as a Lead Electrical Engineer from October 2011 to October 2014. Doug continued their career as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Link Engineering Company since October 2014. In addition to their engineering roles, Doug also served as a Special Deputy at Monroe County Sheriff's Office starting from May 2009. Doug was also a Constable at Whiteford Township from November 2008 to November 2016, and served as a Board Trustee at Whiteford Agricultural Schools from January 2015 to December 2018.

Doug Bulmer attended Monroe County Community College from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree with a focus on Business. In 2009, they also briefly attended Schoolcraft College, although they did not pursue a specific degree in that institution. In terms of additional certifications, Doug obtained the Certified SolidWorks Professional - Core certification from Dassault Systemes SolidWorks Corporation in April 2013. Prior to that, in January 2013, they earned the Certified SolidWorks Associate certification from the same institution.
