James Simpson has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. James began their career as an Accountant at the University of Minnesota in 1995. From there, they worked as an Accounting Supervisor at Video Update, Inc. and later at Accenture.
In 2001, James joined Nuvolution as a Corporate Services Manager. James then moved on to Manchester Companies in 2002, where they served as Vice President & CFO. In this role, they were responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and critical business functions of the company, including two subsidiaries.
As an Independent Contractor from 2006 to 2007, James focused on financial and accounting projects for various companies, including serving as an Interim CFO for a private company in the office furniture industry and an Interim position within the Accounting/Finance department of a company in the educational services industry.
From 2007 to 2008, James worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Osborne Group of Companies / Nationwide Fixture Installations, where they had full responsibility for maximizing profits and managing financial planning and analysis.
James then joined Analysts International Corporation (AIC) in 2008, where they served as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. James was responsible for forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, and operational and management reporting. James also played a role in the design, implementation, and management of processes and systems for data transformation.
In 2011, James was promoted to Vice President of Operations at AIC, where they oversaw operations and monitored strategic initiatives. During their tenure, they contributed to a 100% increase in share price and the subsequent sale of the company.
Starting in 2014, James joined Trissential as the Chief Financial Officer. In this role, they had full responsibility for various departments, including Finance, Human Resources, Recruiting, Marketing, IT, and Resource Management. James was also a member of the Executive Leadership Team, providing financial and operational expertise to execute the strategic plan and vision.
Most recently, James joined LinkUp in 2018 as the Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer. LinkUp is a leading provider of job market data and analytics. In their role, they are responsible for overseeing financial operations and strategic decision-making.
