Samuel Akapo

Samuel Akapo has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a specialization in analytical research and development. Samuel most recently worked at Lipocine Inc. as the Senior Director of Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC). In this role, they provided strategic leadership and technical expertise in areas such as formulation development, manufacturing, and scale-up.

Prior to their role at Lipocine Inc., Akapo served as the Director of Analytical R&D at Axar Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where they led a team of analytical scientists and oversaw method development and validation for candidate and pipeline projects. Samuel also played a key role in selecting contract manufacturers and coordinating workload compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Akapo's previous experience includes roles at Impax Laboratories, Validant Consulting, Genovi Pharmaceuticals Inc., Par Pharmaceutical Companies Inc., Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc., and Dey L.P. In these positions, they provided guidance on analytical method development and validation, managed stability programs, and contributed to the preparation of regulatory submissions.

Samuel Akapo pursued their education from 1986 to 1989 at Birkbeck, University of London, where they earned a PhD in Chemistry.
