Mike du Plessis

Mike du Plessis has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Mike is currently working at TP ICAP as a Senior Managing Director since July 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Liquidnet as the Global Head Listed Derivatives starting from March 2022.

In 2019, Mike briefly worked at Beach House Refurb as a Labourer & Plogger during the period from March to June. Mike also pursued an apprenticeship in carpentry, plumbing, and plastering during this time.

Mike'slongest tenure was at UBS, where they worked from October 2010 to March 2019, assuming various senior roles in London and New York. Mike'sresponsibilities included being the Global Head of FX, Rates & Credit Execution Services, a member of FX, Rates & Credit Executive Committee, and the Head of SEF Execution. Mike was also directly responsible for P&Ls and revenue producers in multiple locations globally.

From 2013 to 2014, Mike served as a Board Member at FIA EUROPE. Prior to that, they worked at Deutsche Bank as a Managing Director from October 2007 to October 2010, where they focused on listed options, swaptions, and CDS index as a producer.

Before their time at Deutsche Bank, Mike was a Partner at Cube Financial from April 2002 to October 2007. Mike also worked as a Director, Hedge Fund Sales at Lehman Brothers from March 2000 to April 2002. Mike'searly career includes a role as Manager, Institutional Sales at Industrial Bank of Japan from February 1994 to March 2000.

Mike's career began at NatWest Markets, where they worked as a Floor Broker for Gilts/Short Sterling from September 1992 to February 1994. Mike gained valuable experience in physical markets during this time.

In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications including the Senior Leadership Program from IMD Business School in August 2016 and Series 24, 7, 63, and 3 from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority).
