Robert Cranston

Robert Cranston has a diverse work experience in the financial industry spanning over two decades. Robert currently serves as the Global Head of Equity Product at Liquidnet since August 2022. Prior to this role, they held the position of Head of Product - EMEA and APAC at Liquidnet from July 2020 to August 2022. Before joining Liquidnet, Robert worked at SIX Swiss Exchange Ltd as the Head of Equity Product Management from September 2015 to January 2018. Robert also had a stint at Thomson Reuters as a Product Manager from July 2012 to September 2015. Robert initially started their career at Liquidnet as a Product and Project Manager from July 2011 to June 2012. Their extensive industry experience includes a significant tenure at Instinet from August 2002 to July 2011, where they served as the ED - Head of Equity Trading Platform, Matching System, Equity Market Data Development. Prior to that, Robert worked at EFA Software as an Equity Trading Platform Software Engineer, focusing on the deployment of the Horizon Equity trading platform to multiple locations.

Robert Cranston attended the University of Calgary from 1993 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree. Their areas of study were Computer Science and Classical Studies.
