George Mendoza has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. George started their career as a Programmer at Acestar Solutions and Trading, Inc, where they designed, developed, and maintained various web applications for Texas Instruments Philippines. George then worked as an IT/Software Specialist at Kestronic Inc., where they supported KES software and developed skills in Java programming.
After that, George worked as a Ruby on Rails Developer at NextLogic Singapore, where they wrote customized business software solutions using Agile-based development methodologies. Following this, they worked as a self-employed Ruby on Rails Developer, focusing on projects such as a feedback submissions site and a website for a private airline service.
George then joined EdgiLife as a Software Engineer, where they contributed to major features on the site, including filtering functionality and eCommerce checkout options. George later worked at SnackNation as a Software Engineer, where they implemented a new survey database and encapsulated a Rails engine.
George's next role was at Caroo as a Software Engineer, and then at Nebulab as a Senior Software Engineer. At Nebulab, they were part of the product team responsible for supporting and improving Solidus, an eCommerce platform powered by Ruby on Rails. Currently, George works as a Software Engineer at Liscio, starting in 2023.
Throughout their career, George has been an open-source contributor since 2010 and has released noteworthy projects. George has developed skills in Ruby on Rails, Java programming, and web application development.
George Mendoza attended the University of Baguio Preparatory High School from 1993 to 1997. Then, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science at the University of the Philippines from 1997 to 2002.
