Peter Briggs

Peter Briggs has over nine years of work experience. In 2011, they began working as a Mathematics Tutor at Carleton College Math Skills Center. In 2013, they were a Research Assistant at Carleton College GIS Lab. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Software Developer at Epic. During this time, they overhauled a web-based dashboard application for reporting on clinical and financial data, led the design and development of a self-service reporting application, and used an internal graphing library to extend and modernize data visualization. In 2017, they became an Application Developer at COGENCY GLOBAL INC., where they developed a web-based order processing application using ASP. NET Web API and Angular2, investigated and addressed database performance issues, built error monitoring tools, and developed an order processing API for consumption by internal applications. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Back End Developer at DTN, where they migrated a geospatial ETL application to AWS using Python, PostgreSQL, Cloudformation, and Bamboo CI/CD, extended an application for aviation weather data visualization using Cython, Docker, and open source geospatial libraries, and implemented monitoring and data lineage systems for a serverless data pipeline application using Amazon ECS, Fargate, CloudWatch, and Lambda. In 2021, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Code42, where they worked full-remotely and used C#, Python, and AWS to develop integrations, API tooling, and microservices. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at Listeners On Call.

Peter Briggs attended Carleton College from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics.
