Julia M. Satov, M.Ed has a diverse work experience in various roles related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Julia M. is currently the Global Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Litera, where they developed and operationalized the company's DEI strategy across multiple areas. Julia M. also played a key role in establishing and leading employee resource groups and implementing an inclusion and psychological safety survey. Additionally, they developed Litera's social good strategy and advised on ESG policies and M&A assessment.
Aside from their role at Litera, Julia is the Co-Chair & Strategic Advisor for the EDI Committee at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). Julia M. is involved in establishing CIFAL York as the first CIFAL Centre in Canada, which focuses on knowledge sharing and capacity-building for sustainable development goals.
Previously, they held positions at Ernestine's Women's Shelter, Kira Systems, BMO Financial Group, The Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE), Centennial College, Capilano University, and Centre for Ethics & Corporate Policy. Their roles in these organizations involved leadership development, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, global learning experiences, teaching, facilitation, and publication in diversity education.

Julia M. Satov, M.Ed has a Masters of Education degree in Internationalization, Global Citizenship & Transformative Theories in Adult Education from York University, which they obtained from 2011 to 2014. Julia M. also holds a Certificate of Professional Ethics in Philosophy from York University, completed in 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Law Clerk degree from Seneca Polytechnic in 2001. Julia M. also has a B.A. Hons. degree in Philosophy from York University. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including Ethics of Artificial Intelligence from Politecnico di Milano in 2023, Data-driven Decision Making from Coursera in 2018, and a Certificate of Professional Ethics from York University. Julia M. has received recognition as a Women in Tech Ally of the Year Finalist for Diversity & Inclusion from WomenTech Network in 2020, as well as being recognized as one of the 10 Most Inspiring DEI Leaders to Follow in 2023 by CIO Views Magazine.
