Douglas Rudd

Douglas Rudd has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in data science, scientific computing, and software development. Douglas is currently the Director of Data Science for Inventory and Ops Algorithms at Literati. Prior to this, they worked at Stitch Fix, where they held positions such as Manager of Data Science for Operations Algorithms and Senior Data Scientist for Merchandising Algorithms. Douglas also gained experience as a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science. In addition, Douglas has a background in scientific computing, serving as a Scientific Computing Consultant at the Research Computing Center, University of Chicago, and working as a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University and the Institute for Advanced Study. Early in their career, they were a Database Application Developer at ProNet, where they were involved in migratory projects and the development of custom inventory control systems.

Douglas Rudd received a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Astronomy and Computer Science from the University of Arizona in 2002. Douglas then pursued further education at the University of Chicago, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics in 2007.
