Blake Butterworth has worked in the software engineering field since 2014. In that time, they have held a variety of roles at different companies. In 2014, they co-founded Hopshack and developed a mobile application for IOS and Android. Blake also managed a successful Kickstarter campaign and hired and managed a team of database administrators, authors, and graphic designers. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at LookFar as a software engineer, where they were tasked with maintaining existing projects or building new ones. Blake was also forced to learn a new language if the project demanded it. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at Amatis Controls as a software engineer, where they migrated a feature rich web app from jQuery to React, managed a team of 5 developers, and interpreted high level business strategy. Blake then worked at LitLingo Technologies as a Frontend Engineer, where they helped businesses communicate better by proactively identifying problematic language in employee communications in real-time. Blake also worked at Loyola University New Orleans as a Lead Coding Instructor + Curriculum Designer for MySQL and Node.js, where they assisted in translating top level directive from the university into a curriculum plan.
Blake Butterworth graduated from Isidore Newman School in 2010 with a High School degree. Following that, they attended Louisiana State University from 2010 to 2015 and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering.
