Developed by Dr. Helen Egger, previously Head of Child Psychiatry at NYU Langone and Duke University, and the top minds in early childhood mental health, our programs empower families to get back to what matters the most as soon as possible. Little Otter helps parents better understand their child’s emotions and behaviors, providing personalized care plans and evidence-based therapy.

The Role

At Little Otter, we understand how challenging it can be for families to navigate their mental health journey. As an Integrated Care Specialist (contractor), you will be at the forefront of our unique, integrated approach. Join us and play a critical role in tackling one of healthcare’s most pressing problems. We are seeking a provider to be the first person that families meet upon joining Little Otter. This role will complete Kickoff Sessions to give families a clear path for getting connected to care.

Salary:  $40 per hour + plus competitive bonus

Schedule: Make your own schedule! Schedule yourself up to 20 hours per week.

*Must be able to work within priority hours Monday through Friday 8am EST - 11pm EST.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct introductory Kickoff Sessions with incoming Little Otter families to welcome them to our platform, identify specific needs, and connect them with Little Otter services. 
  • Meet families where they are, understand their concerns and provide actionable steps to begin care. 
  • Using clinical engagement skills, provide support for families seeking mental health care including championing their connection with their ongoing care providers.
  • Reinforce the importance of connecting families into care quickly by actively scheduling care sessions during initial Kickoff Session meetings with families.
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner to ensure immediate connection to care for families.
  • Collaborate effectively with all care members on the platform.
  • Attend weekly team meeting(s) and optional 1:1 meetings

About You

  • Masters degree in Child Development, Education, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Holds a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential
  • Model empathetic support and feedback when you work with parents & caregivers
  • Comfortable with technology and want to improve the way that tech can empower families and providers
  • Comfortable delivering chat-based and/or video-based support to families
  • Excited to partner with software engineers and a coordinated care team to provide high-quality care to families
  • Believe strongly in multi-disciplinary care and measurement-based methods
  • Interested in learning and collaborating with the best early childhood mental health professionals in the country
  • Self-directed and feel comfortable in a startup environment that is changing and growing quickly
  • Excited to solve problems and take charge in connecting families into quality mental health care on a digital platform
  • At least 3 years of experience working with children and families
  • Experience and confidence in using electronic medical records
