Mike Porter has a strong background in information technology and education. Mike began their career in 2003 as a teacher at Hopewell Valley Regional School District. Mike then moved on to Littleton Public Schools in 2006, where they served as Assistant Director of ITS until 2010. From 2010 to 2014, Mike worked as the Director of Information Technology at Englewood Schools, where they were responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and disaster recovery of the organization's technology infrastructure. In 2014, they returned to Littleton Public Schools, initially as the Director of Technology and later as the Executive Director of Information Technology. Currently, Mike holds the position of Chief Information Officer at Littleton Public Schools.

Mike Porter holds a Master's degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from The College of New Jersey, which they obtained from 2003 to 2006. Mike earned their Bachelor's Degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Metropolitan State University of Denver between 1993 and 1995. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Philosophy at the University of Colorado Boulder from 1987 to 1991. In 2015, Mike also obtained the CETL Certified certification from the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN).
