Marcel van der Meer

Marcel van der Meer has extensive work experience in the field of IT governance, risk, and compliance. Marcel is currently employed as the Director of IT Governance Risk & Compliance at LKQ Corporation since March 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Demand & Transformation at Fource Automotive Source from January 2017 to February 2021. Marcel also worked as an IT Risk Analyst (interim) at Sator Holding from November 2015 to December 2016. Before that, they served as a Project Lead for Continental Europe HR Operations Transformation (interim) at Tyco for a brief period from July 2015 to October 2015. Marcel's career also includes experience at Ahold Pensioenfonds as an Information Security Compliance Assessment Framework implementation expert (interim) from August 2014 to June 2015.

Prior to these roles, Marcel worked at Ahold in various interim positions from 2013 to 2015, including Business Services, Risk & Compliance; Security, Risk & Compliance Analyst; and Group Control, Risk & Compliance. Marcel also had a significant tenure at Ahold, where they held IT audit management roles, such as Manager IT Audit from May 2011 to November 2012, Manager IT Controls from May 2009 to April 2011, and Manager IT Audit from March 2007 to April 2009. Marcel's career began at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where they worked as a Manager Global Risk Management Services from December 1996 to March 2004.

Marcel van der Meer obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Science from De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences, spanning from 1992 to 1996.
