Steve Heckle

Steve Heckle has extensive experience in risk management, with a focus on acquisitions, strategy development, and oversight. Steve held the position of Vice President - Risk Management at LKQ Corporation from 2006 to the present, where they managed all aspects of risk management including insurance, claim management, and safety. Prior to that, they were Vice President at Cracker Barrel, leading efforts in risk management, benefits, and distribution/logistics from 2003 to 2006. Before that, they worked at Dollar General Corporation as Senior Director from 1993 to 2003, with a focus on risk management, telecommunications, and HRIS. Steve began their career as a Claim Adjuster at Safeco Insurance Companies from 1990 to 1993, where they investigated and resolved auto and liability claims.

Steve Heckle has a JD from the Nashville School of Law and a BS in Business from the University of Tennessee at Martin. In addition, they have obtained certifications including a Rule 31 Mediator license from the Tennessee Supreme Court, a Tennessee Law License from the Tennessee Supreme Court, and an Associate in Claims certification from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.
