Matt Gerwell

Matt Gerwell is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in various roles and companies. Currently serving as Lead Developer at LMAX Group since November 2023, Matt previously held the position of Vice President of Software Engineering at Curex Group LLC from September 2011 to October 2023, and began there as an Associate Software Engineer. Prior experience includes working as a Software Engineer at ITT, where development focused on link-layer communications software for software-defined radio, and as a Digital Design Engineer at Tel-Instrument Electronics Corporation, where Matt implemented signal processing algorithms using VHDL. Earlier roles include time at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory as an Associate Member of Technical Staff, and as a Research Associate at the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in numerical antenna design. Matt holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Electromagnetics from The University of Texas at Austin.
