Kaihua Cai

Kaihua Cai has a diverse range of work experience in data science and quantitative research. Starting in 2005, they worked as a Research Fellow at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute and later at the Institute for Advanced Study in 2006. In 2007, they joined Chatham Financial as a Quantitative Researcher. From 2008 to 2010, they worked at Goral Trading LLC as a Quantitative Trader, where they implemented algorithms and designed trading interfaces. In 2012, they joined AppNexus as a Senior Data Scientist, where they focused on machine learning and programmatic buying strategies. They then moved on to JPMorgan Chase & Co. in 2015, working as a Data Scientist Lead. Most recently, in 2016, they became the Director of Data Science at Loadsmart.

Kaihua Cai completed their education as follows:

- From 2000 to 2005, they attended Caltech and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mathematics.

- From 1996 to 2000, they studied at the University of Science and Technology of China and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics.

- From 1993 to 1996, they completed their high school education at Qidong High School, obtaining a High School Diploma in Mathematics.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Kaihua Cai has also obtained a certification in DataRobot Essential from DataRobot in an undisclosed year.
