Nikki Abissi

Nikki Abissi is an accomplished trombonist and entrepreneur with a diverse career in music and business. Currently serving as the Second Trombone for the American Symphony Orchestra and the Principal Trombone for The Montclair Orchestra, Nikki also founded and leads Extendabone LLC, where a trombone slide extension handle is in development. With extensive experience as a freelance trombonist since 2014, Nikki has instructed trombone students at Montclair State University and Mannes Prep, while also holding previous teaching positions at Kent Place School. Additionally, as a Development Associate, Nikki has successfully managed grant proposals and community resources for various organizations. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Music Performance from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor’s degree in Trombone Performance from The Juilliard School.
