Steve Setser

Steve Setser's work experience includes holding the role of SVP, Enterprise Business Strategist at First Bank (FBNC) since March 2022. Prior to this, they served as SVP Director of Support Services at Select Bank and Trust Company from January 2016 to March 2022. Steve also served as General Auditor at Select Bank and Trust Company from March 2014 to December 2015. Before that, they worked at VantageSouth Bank as Manager ERM, Privacy & Regulatory Review from April 2013 to February 2014. Additionally, they held various roles at The East Carolina Bank, including VP/Director ERM Reporting from May 2012 to March 2013, VP/Internal Auditor from June 2008 to May 2012, and Staff Auditor from June 2004 to June 2008.

Steve Setser completed their education with a focus on business and decision science. Steve earned a Bachelor's degree in Decision Science with a specialization in Management Information Systems from the East Carolina University - College of Business in 2002. Afterward, they pursued further academic success at the same institution, obtaining an MBA from the College of Business from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, Steve enrolled in the North Carolina Bankers Association's School of Banking between 2006 and 2010 to enhance their knowledge in the banking sector.
