Sabrina Diz

Senior Program Officer, Rural Resource Development – Private Funding & Strategy at Local Initiatives Support

Sabrina Diz is an experienced project manager currently leading initiatives at Food For The Poor in Honduras since March 2020. Previously, Sabrina held various roles at Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Inc., including Grants Developer and Grants Administrator from November 2016 to March 2020. As Assistant Director at A Chance for Therapy from February 2015 to November 2016 and as Special Events / Community Relations Manager at COSAC Foundation The Homeless Voice from June 2010 to February 2015, Sabrina developed and managed fundraising events to support community initiatives. Education includes a Master’s Degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Nova Southeastern University, a Master's of Arts in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Florida International University, and a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Additional experience includes mentoring at-risk LGBTQIA youth as a Volunteer Adult Advisor at SunServe Social Services and conducting research for indigenous family health studies as a Research and Program Assistant at Florida International University.
