Benjamin Lyons

Benjamin Lyons has over 13 years of experience in the financial services industry. Benjamin began their career in 2007 as an Associate Financial Planner at St George Bank, where they provided clients with financial advice and created financial plans. In 2010, they were recruited to Westpac as an Advanced Financial Planner, where they managed a book of client funds worth over $225M. In 2012, they joined Westpac Institutional Bank as a Senior Associate - Institutional FX & Interest Rates Dealer and a Senior Associate - Foreign Exchange Dealer. Benjamin built and managed a portfolio of 100 FX clients and advised them on hedging strategies. In 2011, they joined Localism as the Chief Financial Officer, where they spearheaded business development efforts and raised capital funds. Benjamin currently serves as the Head of Australia/NZ Sales at Barclays Investment Bank.

Benjamin Lyons obtained their Master of Applied Finance from Kaplan University in 2012, their Advanced Diploma in Financial Services from Kaplan Professional Australia in 2008, and their Advanced Diploma in Business from APM College of Business and Communication in 2005. Benjamin also holds an AFMA - Financial Markets Accreditation from Foreign Exchange Markets & Equity Markets.
