Ranjan Batra's work experience includes various roles in the field of research and development. Ranjan started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida, where they focused on RNA targeting therapeutic strategies. Ranjan then obtained their PhD degree while working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida. After that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Mayo Clinic, where they continued their research on RNA targeting. Ranjan then became a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Diego, and later joined Verily Life Sciences as a Scientist. In 2018, Ranjan joined Locanabio, Inc. as the Vice President of Research and Development, and later became a Senior Vice President. Ranjan also held the roles of Creator, Inventor, and Scientist during their time at Locanabio. Currently, they are the Vice President of Discovery, Research, and Translation at Lexeo Therapeutics.

Ranjan Batra earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree in Pharmacy from Delhi University from 2001 to 2005. Ranjan then pursued a Master's degree in Pharmacology from The Ohio State University College of Medicine from 2005 to 2007. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Human/Medical Genetics from the University of Florida from 2007 to 2013.
