Georgina Woods

Georgina Woods is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research, investigations, and advocacy within the environmental sector. Currently, Georgina serves as the Head of Research and Investigations at Lock the Gate since June 2023, while also holding a board member position at Hunter Jobs Alliance since November 2020, focusing on promoting sustainable futures for the Hunter Valley. Previously, Georgina was the Head of Impact at The Climate Risk Group Pty Ltd from February 2022 to June 2023 and the NSW Coordinator at Lock the Gate from August 2013 to October 2021, where efforts concentrated on community protection against coal and gas mining. Georgina Woods holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Literature from the University of Newcastle.
