Tom Maxwell

Tom Maxwell has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Tom has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise in software development, team leadership, and technical training.

Their most recent position was as a Senior Go Developer at Lockwood Publishing Ltd, where they started in November 2022.

Prior to this, they worked at Laka as a Technical Team Lead from March 2022 to October 2022. In this role, they led a team of trainee and junior developers and collaborated with key stakeholders to design and deliver backend features.

Before Laka, Tom worked at Made Tech as a Senior Engineer from March 2021 to March 2022, focusing on the Maritime and Coastguard Agency's 406 Beacons Registry project.

From October 2018 to March 2021, they served as an Application Development Team Leader at ALD Automotive UK, where they led a scrum team of six developers in building and maintaining the microservices platform.

Tom also gained experience as a Senior Developer at Rocketmakers from November 2016 to October 2018. During their time there, they worked on an established project for the English Institute of Sport, learning new technologies and deploying scripted infrastructure deployments.

Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at CESLearnSmart from March 2016 to November 2016, where they focused on implementing features and making the development team more agile and forward-thinking.

Tom's work experience also includes roles as a Senior Developer and Dev Team Leader at True Digital from August 2013 to March 2016, an IT Developer at FundsLibrary from February 2008 to August 2013, and a Developer at Felinesoft from February 2006 to February 2008.

Tom began their career as a Student Developer at Spinnaker International Ltd from June 2004 to August 2005.

Tom Maxwell began their education in 2002 at the University of Plymouth, where they pursued a degree in Computing. Tom successfully completed their studies in 2005 and obtained a Diploma of Higher Education (DHE). Following this, from 2010 to 2013, they attended the University of the West of England, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technology.

In addition to their formal education, Tom has also obtained several certifications. In September 2016, they achieved the Certified ScrumMaster designation from Scrum Alliance. Furthermore, in September 2013, they acquired the Sitecore Developer Foundations for Sitecore CMS 6.5 certification and the Website .NET Developer Certification for Sitecore CMS 6.5, both from Sitecore.
