John Matthews

John Matthews has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. John started their career as a Project Engineer at the Naval Civil Engineering Laboratory in 1982. John then moved on to work as an Engineering Manager at SpectraF/X for six years. Following that, they served as an Engineering Manager at Engineering Inc., where they were responsible for managing and improving a custom robotic aircraft painting system. In 1993, they transitioned to IDAB Inc. as an Engineering Manager, overseeing all engineering activities and in-service support for Material Handling products. In 1997, they became an Owner Operator at JDM Company, before joining Loftware, Inc. in 2012 as the Director of Solutions Engineering EMEA. Currently, John is the Owner-Operator of John D. Matthews PE.

John Matthews earned their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from UC Santa Barbara, where they studied from 1979 to 1982. John continued their education at the same institution and completed their Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) from 1983 to 1987.
