Jason McKay

Jason McKay has a diverse work experience in the field of technology. Jason started their career at Panix in 1999, where they gained technical support experience and knowledge in Unix environment issues. Jason then moved on to Boomtown in 2002 and Chowder, Inc. in 2003, where they worked as a System Administrator.

In 2006, Jason joined Logicworks as a Senior Engineer, collaborating with global clients to develop customized solutions and providing mentorship to junior staff. Jason later became the Director of Engineering in 2009, responsible for managing a team of sysadmins, network admins, and DBAs, with a focus on maintaining uptime, compliance, and scalability. In 2013, they were promoted to the role of VP of Engineering and further elevated to the position of SVP/CTO in 2015.

Throughout their career, Jason has gained expertise in planning, implementing, and supporting critical applications across various platforms and business verticals. Jason has also acquired skills in shell scripting, Perl, awk, sed, and demonstrated qualities of patience and humility.

Jason McKay attended Bard College from 1989 to 1993 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Jason has also obtained several certifications from Amazon Web Services, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, AWS Certified Developer - Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate level, and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate.
