John Herby

John Herby has extensive experience in software engineering and management roles in the public safety sector. John is currently serving as the Senior Director of Software Engineering at LogRhythm since November 2022. Prior to this, John worked at Motorola Solutions for over 22 years, where they held various positions. John started as an Engineering and Product Manager, leading a team in the development of an enterprise application for government departments. John then progressed to the role of Senior Engineering Manager, where they focused on the development of applications for Emergency Operations Centers. During this time, they successfully implemented Agile/Scrum methodologies and achieved unmatched performance, quality, and reliability in the products. John later became the Director of Public Safety Applications, leading globally distributed Agile/Scrum teams and overseeing the integration of acquired products. In their most recent role at Motorola, they served as the Senior Director of Public Safety Applications, where they directed the creation and delivery of cloud-based applications optimized for the public safety sector. Throughout their career, John has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic planning abilities, and expertise in software development.

John Herby earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of California, Davis. John also has certifications as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Agile Alliance and as an Oracle Database Administrator Certified Master from Oracle.
